This course creates a great opportunity to study in depth the real art and craft of bow and arrow making. The course focuses on wooden bows found and used in Northern Europe from pre historical creations such as the Holmgaard and Meare Heath to medieval long bows. It is anticipated you will have a chance to make several designs and study in depth their application and design implications.

Days start at 9.00am and ends at 3.00pm. You will required to provide your own lunches daily but tea and coffee is supplied throughout the day. Students will be required to purchase materials such as laminated or cut staves and arrow shafts at cost price only-anticipated a total of £50-£70 for the whole course.

Fees

Please note that we are unable to offer student funding. However it is likely that funding will be available from other sources and we are always happy to discuss various options with you.

(Plus*) = we endeavour to ensure students complete their work in the alloted timescales, however, they may be some occasions when extra days are necessary in case students have missed days or are behind for various reasons.
