| This
walk consists of an inspiring and gentle ramble
over the ancient Sussex landscape. It is an area
rich in both flora and fauna with the terrain comprising
of rolling hills, chalk downland and forest. Our
tour will explore its potential through the eyes
of our native aborigines who were dependant on the
seasons and what they could find to survive. Coupled
with nature detective skills we will study the history
of the area, the uses of the vegetation and the
tracks and signs left behind by its inhabitants.
There will be an opportunity to try some wild foods,
have a go at fire by friction or other primitive
crafts along the way. We have combined this event
with a traditional pub lunch on our circular walk
to give us a break during the day. A reasonable
level of fitness is required as we will be covering
between 4-6 miles.

| This
course is aimed at the wildlife enthusiasts who have a
desire to get really close to some of the UK's more elusive
animals in their natural habitat. Our instructors know
their local areas and although there are no guarantees
in nature for a display, if anyone can get you close to
British wildlife, they can. These events put no more than
two clients with an instructor and take place on demand
from early evening into the night. They vary from a general
wildlife viewing where, deer, badgers, foxes and bats
may be encountered to specific animals or animal events
such as badger watching or deer rutting. You will receive
some formal training on how to move silently. To aid the
experience we will be using some modern technology including
night vision gear and bat detectors. |
