Intermediate Bushcraft Award – Level 2

Course Content

This programme is specifically aimed at outdoor instructors wishing to learn an receive recognition for their knowledge to aid professional development., there are no surprises as the material assessed is covered in the course training.

Tool use and maintenance, methods of making fire, managing fire, sustainable harvesting, minimal impact, plant and tree identification and uses,  heat and cold injuries, shelter systems, useful knots and rope work, importance of safe water and water purification

This course is a blend of outdoor knowledge coupled with an understanding of nature and the way it can utilised. The aim is to equip candidates with sound outdoor skills that will not only give recognised accreditation, but also provide skills that will be useful in planning sessions in their professional life.

The course runs in a three day block followed by a further day assessment  leaving time for a consolidation period in between allowing you time to practice and perfect your skills.

The programme is an ideal start place to acquire bushcraft and students may wish to progress to the Advanced Bushcraft Award
